Journey to the South (Part 4)
The following is a set of pictures I took during a tour of the south of Tangri Mountains. I had an un-forgettable experience seeing and feeling the life of my people in the south. I hope to share the snapshot with visitors of this website.

In the verge of desertification. According to the local farmers, due to the dry
weather, the desert is expending its boundaries. As one can see, even desert
trees find it hard to survive.


Green belt of bushes were plant on both side of Desert Highway, it is about 20 feet
wide on both side and stretches from start to the end for about 500 kili meters.
It is truely a miracle that green plantation survives in the middle of the desert.

Beyond the highway...

This picture will always remind me of the sea of sands where I stepped on.

All tourist of Taklimakan Desert love this so called 'Center of Tarim Restaurant'.
After enjoying the Laghman after 5 hours desert drive, we all agree the cook is
the best one in the world.

Sea of sand - this is the middle of Taklimakan desert - there is absolutely nothing
else but yellow brown colored sands.
